GODβS WORD IS GOD
ββββββββββββββββ
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
π In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ( John 1:1)
Godβs Word is not merely what God says; it is God Himself. The Word of God is God in expression. When you hear Godβs Word, youβre hearing God. When you receive His Word, youβre receiving Him. Heβs in His Word, just as His Word is in Him.
This is a truth many donβt fully grasp. They think Godβs Word is separate from Him, like someone saying something and then walking away from it. But thatβs not how it is with God. His Word carries His person. It expresses not just His thoughts but also His power, His presence, His glory, and His life.
How do we know someoneβs personality? Itβs through their words. Words reveal who a person is. In the same way, God reveals Himself in His Word. His Word transmits divinity. The life of God is in His Word. Thatβs why when you receive the Word into your heart, youβre not just getting mere information or instruction; youβre receiving God Himself. Youβre fellowshipping with the very essence of life.
His Word creates, heals, transforms and delivers. No wonder the Lord Jesus is called the Word made flesh (John 1:14). He said, βI and my Father are oneβ (John 10:3. He is the living Word. βAll things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was madeβ (John 1:3).
Did you observe that the Word is referred to as βHimβ and not βitβ? Thatβs because Heβs a person. Any time you hear and receive the Word of God into you, youβre receiving more than doctrine or teaching; you're receiving God. Therefore, honour His Word, because to honour His Word is to honour Him.

Dear Father, I thank you for your life, power and glory thatβs in your Word; the same power, presence and glory that I experience because your Word is in me, producing what it talks about. I live by your Word and experience continual transformation, progress and victory, in Jesusβ Name. Amen.

John 1:1-3,14 NIV; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] He was with God in the beginning.
[3] Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
[14] The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Hebrews 4:12-13; For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
[13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
1 Thessalonians 2:13; For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
